I dont trust allen ford as i had a customer in last week saying they failed his rear brake hose on a astra convertable, we fitted a new flexi hose and ford wanted another £30 for a re-test. And still woudnt pass it, they also failed it on emissions, the numpty testing it failed it on the lambda, i had the car up to its optimal running temp and lambda was kicking in and doing its job.

 

Another example is a customer said there car had been into ford and they diagnosed a popped slave cylinder in the brakes, closer inspection found the rear brakes were FINE, and the front pads were hanging out.

 

So just to re-cap MOT cost to normal members of public are £45

Im not saying all Allen Ford are even tho my last comment may of come across that way. But the Allen ford centre local to me are showing that. Just seems that they dnt want to get stuck in to diagnose. It's amazing what a torch can high light if used.
