Took advantage of the sunny weather this afternoon to give my Scort Gti a lick of wax.

I used:

Turtle Wax shampoo

Clay bar (bought off ebay for a fiver, made the lubricant out of diluted car shampoo)

Mer polish

AutoGlym Extra Gloss Protection

Turtle Wax Tyre Shine

Turtle Wax Wheel cleaner and brush.

Halford's own 'Back to Black' rip-off

Rain-X

Spent about 2 and a half hours in total on it, really happy with how it turned out although I've got some scratches on the rear nearside bumper that need touching up. Other than that I'm happy with it. Got some Gliptone coming in the next day or so to sort out the full-leather interior, the missus is in a bit of a strop with me at the moment and I've been relegated to the sub's bench for a while so after our eldest's birthday this weekend I'll have plenty of time (and peace) to get on with it :)

Cheers guys. It's been a while since I spent so long on washing and waxing a car. The claying took up most of my time but it was worth the time, effort and money.
Looking good! Looks like my cars little sis! (Amparo blue mondeo estate)

Very nice and Shiny!

I'm sure the pictures don't do that the full justice it deserves!
