Posted February 27, 201113 yr Cracked front fog light lense but light still works, this gonna be an MOT fail?? Edited February 27, 201113 yr by Mk6 Si Ross
February 27, 201113 yr front fogs are not a testable item. But the rears are. As long as the o/s/r fog works and does not emit a white light it shud pass
February 27, 201113 yr Provided the light pattern is not affected and there's no sharp edges, it will be fine
February 27, 201113 yr As I've said front fog lights are not a tested item. They dnt have any affect on the beam pattern. I'm a mot tester mate. Go bck n demand a pass on it da they should not of failed it As I've said front fog lights are not a tested item. They dnt have any affect on the beam pattern. I'm a mot tester mate. February 27, 201113 yr Although I don't think Ross has an escort anymore, so I guess its for the C Max? Edited February 27, 201113 yr by Danzetec
February 27, 201113 yr They haven't failed itand im just saying i have one thats not cracked I think you will find Dan's reply was aimed at escort4x4 who told heim to go back and demand a pass.
February 27, 201113 yr My apologies for miss reading. I shall correct myself. A front fog light is not tested during a mot test. So if its cracked. Dnt worry
March 2, 201113 yr Author Although I don't think Ross has an escort anymore, so I guess its for the C Max? Mondeo ST fog. Its not been tested. Was asking cos after recently having to pay out for a hub, knuckle, shock, spring and wheel bearing on one side we're more than skint!! Cant afford to change a fog light if i dont have to.
