Matt black looks incredible. But it will not look good for long,it'll be a mare to keep in tip top condition (probably need touch ups every few weeks)

 

Matt black vynl on the other hand, easy to care for and will look just as good if applied well. Needs to go onto a painted car though.

 

Red wouldnt be my colour of choice if i was painting a car from scratch, matt black is up there, with imperial blue and graphite grey

Instead of just using high build, what you could of used first is a polyester spray filler then blocked that with P240/P320 then apply your high build primer block that with P800/P1000 would of then given an even flatter finish.

 

Good decision to avoid Matt black as this would of been black basecoat with Matt laquer, and the spraybooth would of needed to be spotless because there's no room for error with any of the spraying as you cannot nib any bits out of the laquer, it needs to be a dirt/imperfection free paint job.

 

Frozen White hope it's going go be basecoat/clear will give a better finish.
