Im a supporter of Adrian Flux.

Upon fitting different alloys to my 'old' (as in not the one I own now) Black Escort in late 2006 when I was 22 Direct Line said go away, I held the policy with them for a car that came with alloys as standard but changing them to some other Ford alloys was too much. Didnt get any brownie points at all for actually telling them.......so I cancelled.

Been with Adrian since that day, naturally it was expensive at first but nothing that broke the bank, think it was something like £1100 fully comp for my 1.6 Finesse, induction, zorst and coilovers, pretty darn good considering I was 22. All the no claims have built up now and im laughing!

Excellent Customer Service which is the most important thing, the lines do get busy but you never have to wait that long, sorted out me new Escort insurance and putting my old Escort on temporary insurance all in one phone call, policy was emailed the same day, for both.

Only ever made one claim and that was for a cracked windscreen, £80 excess seemed reasonable for a whole screen replacement, it got chipped two days later omg.....

Im planning on becoming a club member soon once my new cars all ship shape, I guess I wont be able to reep the benifits of 15% off this year :(

Dan, you maybe able to answer this but when it came to me selling my Black Escort a 19 year old tried to get insured with you chaps as I recommended you and he was turned away quoting that, 'we dont entertain anyone below the age of 25' Is this still the case?

Hello,

Thank You for the positive feedback. As for the Person trying to insure your vehicle it could of been down to a number of different reasons such as His Risk Details ( Postcode, Use of the Vehicle, Occupation etc) or it could of been due to that the Insurers had changed their criteria so would not accept people under 25 for that vehicle, without his details it is impossible to pinpoint the reason.

Oh ok, so it's not a blanket policy nowadays, good to know.

No, All the quotes are based on each Person's details and whether they match the Insurers Criteria as to the Quote but as we are a Broker we are able to take additional information into account and talk to the Underwriters to see what additional discounts are available and can be applied to the Quote to be as competitive as possible, So it is always worth a call to us to see what we can do.

To be honest as I remember it no details were confirmed past him mentioning his age, phone call lasted around a 30 seconds.

Never mind though, must have been a misunderstanding or something.

They're all his details mate, ive been with you for years, he didnt buy my car in the end anyway, his mate did so i'm not too bothered about it now, was mainly wondering if it was a blanket policy based on his phone call, you've made it clear that it isnt so im happy with that.

Ive been with flux for the past 4 years and they have been cheapest buy atleat £300 over everyone else,

I also have Flux rescue which is great, i had to use it once and they recovered my car 120miles to a destination I wanted it to go even though my home was 5miles down the road.

I did have the key cover however I feel this is a complete waste of time, It doesnt help you out in anyway when you lose your keys.

you have to find a company to come out to you and try and cut and programme a key, pay for it your self and then fill out a claims form and wait for that to be processed, wont be buying that cover ever again
