Hezz
with all the money ford had, wouldnt you expect they were stored in much different surroundings rather than just a big unit?

Big turbo Cossies have MK5 mirrors, small turbo ones have MK6. with all the money ford had, wouldnt you expect they were stored in much different surroundings rather than just a big unit? It's a working garage effectively I think, as the cars are used for events and the like, so the cars are in and out a bit, and being worked on. That's the impression I get anyway. mk2xr2
I currently work for Fords in Dagenham and this building with the cars stored in it is just up the road from me. In fact it is the old Ford YTS building where I started my career back many years ago. Before they cars were moved to this building, some of the cars were kept in a small museum inside the Ford training centre in Dagenham. I remember cleaning one of the RS200s when I was training in the car mechanics garage. The building is not open to the public, and not even to Ford employs! The best chance to see the cars is when they take various cars out to shows or special events etc. Shame really. You would think Ford would have a dedicated musuem were the public can go in and view this impressive collection of Ford history. Rob.
