escortedal Posted September 29, 2011 Share Posted September 29, 2011 got maself some ford rs 7 spoke alloys as per my suym thread, thing is they have metal valves fitted and i wondered if they are a ford fitted part or an aftermarket thing, anyone got any ideas and answers, 1. do they need replacing at every tyre change?2. what are they called if a ford part?3. are they any better than rubber ones?4. can i use rubber valves in future or do these wheels have to have the metal ones fitted?cheers for any replies. alan.. JC Posted September 29, 2011 Share Posted September 29, 2011 (edited) new RS7 doesn't come with a valve, as have one sitting here and it doesn't have one I have 2 that have the metal valves in, as the local couldn't get one out so left it in, and its never caused a problem metal also known as bolt in valves, also last longer....
