etrebus
No worries - for peace of mind, the 6400 is backwards compatible, meaning it will run at the same speed as the 5300 if your motherboard cant run at the 6400s native speed. And Ive got 7 open at the minute with firefox (admittedly with 4 tabs), thunderbird and itunes and its using 1.10GB of memory. Id suggest 2GB is a bare minimum for modern PCs.how do you know how much you are using ? Edited October 4, 2011 by etrebus
caled
Press and hold Ctrl + Alt + Del to bring up the locking screen, then press 'Task Manager'. Select the 'Performance' Tab and it will have a graph titled 'Memory' telling you how much memory you are using. You can also have a poke around through the Resource Monitor to see whats eating up your resources.
