DaweV6
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...ME:B:SS:GB:1123 Me thinks this could be an incorrect listing.... but a 2005 plate escort... newest one I will have seen lol! I've seen 08 plate Esc Cos couple of years ago on ebay. And 02 plate 3dr Cossy as well. Didn't they stop making 3dr 1.3 CVH in 95/96 ? If it would be home made RS2k....maybe I'll think about it for a sec, but 1.3 ? Fake. 0 feedback doesn't spur a lot of confidence either.
Stu
You can have a Ford Escort on any registration, even a 61 plate.. you can register a chassis at any time.

Stu
There are plenty of brand new shells dotted around.. someone was flogging a load off on eBay a few years ago.. Allen Ford I think..
caled
Reckon its probably just a registration plate where the first section ends in 05, like LNNN (ie N305 xyz) rather than LLNN (ie MU05 xyz), and the seller is either daft and didnt notice or is trying to pull a fast one. Either way, 7 grand is a lot of money for a 1.3 escort, 2005 reg or not.
DaweV6
There are plenty of brand new shells dotted around.. someone was flogging a load off on eBay a few years ago.. Allen Ford I think.. I bought one mint unregistered 3dr white bare shell (manufactured 9/97) about year and half ago for £300. I haven't yet decided what to do with it, but one thing is for sure - it won't be 1.3. I'm not that mental and seriously doubt that anyone would be.
Stu
IIRC to register a new shell on a current reg a certain percentage of the parts used to build the car have to be new; it's quite a high percentage I believe so can be tricky..
massivewangers
I think it's a really high percentage isn't it? Would be difficult to do unless you were building a track/race car, as you'd never get all the little interior bits and pieces now I wouldn't think. I'd love a fresh shell to start from, would be ace!
