Ill stick another few TB of discs in there too, but this is what i'm looking at for the main system.

Is there a decent alternative thats cheaper for the PSU?

All in all at the moment its around the £660 mark, which i dnt think is bad value?

Opinions?

Just something half decent really, around the £650 mark.

I will play occasional games,

I may use it to feed the projector so the ability to play HD content

Photoshop & Premier useage, some AE useage, DW, Fireworks etc...

Something that wont be too bad 4 years down the line. (my one I use the most in the house is by far the oldest one, and its 8 years old, so this is to replace that).

Spec Looks good, the 2500k will OC to 4.0ghz and run like that all day, My mates system is pretty much identical expect the GFX card, he's running a 6950.

RAM might be a wee bit overkill for what your going to be running, id say 8gb would do for the above mentioned :)

You may find the case a bit naff in terms of cable management if you like your cables neat

Seems good for the price, i run the i7 2600k (@4.6) after upgrading from core 2 quad (@3.6) and the difference in performance in games is staggering.

On the graphics card front i would go for Nvidia like a GTX 560ti as ATI cannot make a driver for toffee. they continually have problems with certains games/features and rarely get resolved. They bring an update which makes things worse most of the time. I had the HD4890 and although the card was good on some games it was terrible on others or wouldn't play them at all. I use a gtx 480 now and never have problems, the 4 lads i go online with all ahve nvidia, 2 changed from ATI for the same reason as me.

Thanks, I will take those points into consideration :)

Whats about PSU's? I think from what I have read 700W is what would be a good supply, but are there any other makes that would suit my needs that are a bit cheaper than what I have selected without moving to a crap one?

The only thing to find on the PSU is the amps it supplys versus the amount needed.

I have a coolermaster gx750w, it supplies 60amps from a single 12v rail, my gpu takes 48a from that and leaves 12 for my system.

The gtx560ti/ati radeon you posted above will probably be around 30amps so if you are only using 1 GPU the gx550w or different make but with 40amps or higher will do.

Scottg17 is right tho 16gb is overkill i only have 8gb and i have been playing Battlefield 3 on max settings at 1360x768 and it plays at 90fps and barely uses 2gb of memory.

Not bad results, although a bit of a dissapointment with the SSD.

I opted for a Dell multitouch monitor too.

Reduced from £250 to £200, and then an £80 trade in. So £120 for a 21.5inch multi touch with 3 years warrenty - can't be bad.
