sutty2006
A woman coming the other way decides to re-arrange your front end....... Or mine in this case http://i60.photobucket.com/albums/h20/sutty2006/DSC_04501.jpg http://i60.photobucket.com/albums/h20/sutty2006/DSC_04511.jpg I was heading up a very striaght piece of national limit road doing between 55-60. A woman in an Audi A4 estate coming the other way decided to turn in front of me last minute. All I remember was seeing headlights crossing my path then it all went blank. Rest in Piece Mondeo ST TDCi. 19/12/2005 - 25/11/2011 http://i60.photobucket.com/albums/h20/sutty2006/DSCF0736.jpg http://i60.photobucket.com/albums/h20/sutty2006/DSCF0738.jpg

sutty2006
Physically, im OK apart from a painfull chest where the seatbelt pre-tensioner pinned me to the seat. However im a bit of a wreck mentally. I can sleep so long as i dont think about it. Already started having nightmares etc. Stress from the insurance/ambulance chasers is getting me depressed. It was her fault no doubt about it, just dont need the hassle though. Im still waiting to hear back from the engineers. I know its a write-off but ive spent thousands of £££ on this motor in the last 12 months keeping it ship-shape. I dont want another kick in the nuts when they tell me they'll give me £50 for it

JC
Gutted for you mate, make them repair it! Hope it gets sorted!
sutty2006
Its too far gone to repair. The airbags alone i recon are a grand each. The passenger front door has been wedged up against the back door and the O/S/F inner wing is at least 2 inches wider than the rest. Even if it was repaired id never drive it again. Dont know what will happen to the car. If they dont give me a good price for it then i'l demand it back to break it. Its got £400 worth of recaro leather seats in it! sidrick
Absolutely gutted for you. Hopefully they'll offer a good price, if not then appeal it and provide evidence of why yours was a top example. It might be worth asking how much they want for you to buy it back afterwards and break for parts.

stevmo3691
if you do get it back to break i'd love the seats But yes, I hope you get a fair price. Atleast around the 6K mark depending on mileage

Craig855S
Glad your OK physically mate, and hope the effects of the event dont affect you for long, as for the car I hope you get a fair price for it, and so long as there is a quids profit to be had from breaking it for spares then buy it back, I managed to buy a mk6 back for £120 years back and they even delivered it to me for no charge (which was 300 miles from where it was stored whilst the damage was inspected etc) I then made over a grand selling the mods from it
