My Escort History

So, after moving out and not getting on my parents insurance anymore, I bought a nice and cheap Escort. It was a bit of a let down after a Discovery and a ST24 Mondeo, but it was 100% mine, so i was very happy with my baby.

Paid all of 250 quid for her (and over 900 for insurance :vangry: )

1995, 1.4 CVH LX, Radiant Red (best colour I think)

Was very happy until a damn Corsa jumped out in front of me at 40 :curse:

Was not very happy at all, car was written off, but managed to get 500 quid from the insurance company.

I was so happy with the car, I decided to get another Escort, but move up to a Zetec.

1999 1.6 Flight in Silver.

Unfortunately, she didn't last 2 weeks before throwing a valve and making a lovely big hole in the top of the engine ( and a lovely puddle of oil all over the road  )

So, I went out and bought another Escort of course!

1997, Nouveau Red 1.6 LX

Very happy with this one, has been my workhorse for a while now, and done a fair few miles!

I recently bought another Escort though, this time a 1.8 Si, which I have had to spend a bit to get going, but very pleased with her now.

I won't say much about it, leave it to the build thread :))

Oh, and I still have the Red one - insurance let me keep it. Currently at my Dads farm as a bit of fun, all stripped out and good for a blast!
