You will need to establish your motherboard, then you can source the drivers for the onboard card.

The drivers you listed as working appear to be the simple windows drivers & codecs but no actual sound card drivers.

You may have to install the soundcard manually but until we establish your board we can't go forward i'm afraid.

You could be looking for Soundmax, AC97 or similar, cant tell yet?

The memory tool on Crucial's site may quickly establish your Motherboard?

Another option is to simply buy a cheap soundcard (usually obtained between £5-£10) and go with that (more than likely giving you better sound options anyway).

There is still the possibility that the onboard sound is disabled in the bios (can'r recall if you yet investigated this fully)?

The motherboard is Foxccon 6617mx-7, i've downloaded the driver, it's the same as the disc i have, which i must have installed 15 times already. Also installed the downloaded one a few times.

It says that they've successfully installed etc but still haven't got any sound.

I'm not sure about the BIOS, i'd probably have to be ran through it in order to tell you if i have.

BTW i just remembered, when i did the "Load optimized defaults, i press "Y" and enter, but if i click on it again, it just says "load optimized defaults" and then has "N" afterwards, i don't know if it should do that?

Lol i never bother with offers, if i want it, i've got to have it so i always end up just buying it, i'll rarely ever bid on something either, always just buy it now. Thanks mate, will do.
