Ahh, he did mention doing some work on a MK1 He quoted me £225 to cut out, re-fit new and paint, then an extra £50 to do my spoiler at the same time... How does that sound? I've heard lots of good reviews about Guy dont sound too bad if you say £100 per panel to spray which leaves £125 for parts and labour.

tomsy
Cars been on the road for 5 months now, in that time i've had to replace the clutch couldn't live with a juddery one, other than that the car has been mechanically sound done a couple of 350 mile round trips to plymouth averaging 70-80 mph no problems at all not even had to top up oil or water. Now i know the car is mechanically sound i decided to concentrate on the cosmetics ultimately a full respray the following parts were bought.http://www.evo-host.co.uk/getimg/29063.jpgA set of 4 fully refurbished wheels brand new tyres all for the price of £180 bargain i thought. Also bought new headlights tail lights foglights and standard amber side repeaters tried to upload photos of these but image uploader is telling me it exceeds file size, dont understand this photos were taken with same phone as other pictures posted on here any advice on this much appreciated. In march car was booked in for full respray at hg bodyshop in the village where i live, a price of £900 pound was agreed thought this was a really good price as i'd seen some of his work and had heard good recommendations hope these photos of work in progress uploadhttp://www.evo-host.co.uk/getimg/29064.jpghttp://www.evo-host.co.uk/getimg/29065.jpgCar was stripped then the repairs started. Would love to show photos of this but again image uploader wont allow me to getting very frustrated now so im off to bed all comments and advice welcome. tomsy
Here i go again gonna try and upload photos of the work i've had done from may through till now, my brother inlaws been down this weekend and has shown me how to resize my photos so i can upload them, apparently a program had changed from when he showed last time thats why i couldn't keep this thread updated as i've said before this is a learning curve for me so please be patient. The following pics are of the bodywork being prepped for painthttp://www.evo-host.co.uk/getimg/29609.jpghttp://www.evo-host.co.uk/getimg/29610.jpghttp://www.evo-host.co.uk/getimg/29611.jpghttp://www.evo-host.co.uk/getimg/29612.jpgIts surprising how many little dents someone with an eye for these things see's luckily not to much rust to repair though, all the repairs were primed and rest of car rubbed down. http://www.evo-host.co.uk/getimg/29613.jpghttp://www.evo-host.co.uk/getimg/29614.jpghttp://www.evo-host.co.uk/getimg/29615.jpghttp://www.evo-host.co.uk/getimg/29616.jpg Remaining badges were then removed side windows were taken out and the car was then in the spray booth havn't got any pics of painting in progress but the following pics were taken day after it was painted.http://www.evo-host.co.uk/getimg/29617.jpg%5B/imghttp://www.evo-host.co.uk/getimg/29619.jpg While all the body work was being done thought i better freshen up the rest of the car with new lights and a set of refurbished wheels with brand new tyres. http://www.evo-host.co.uk/getimg/29620.jpghttp://www.evo-host.co.uk/getimg/29621.jpghttp://www.evo-host.co.uk/getimg/29622.jpg The wheels i bought off ebay 1 bid £180 secured them my best buy yet off ebay. http://www.evo-host.co.uk/getimg/29623.jpg I think thats enough for you people out there to look at for 1 night more pics of what else has been going in the last 3 months to follow this week, but if you were at fordfair last weekend you already know how the car looks now, all comments welcome good or bad tomsy
