EscortFinesseMK6
Hi, I fitted new alloys to my escort today, the steering wheel shakes when i drive now and it also turns a little when i brake, do they just need balancing? or do they need tracking? Any suggestions appreciated Thanks in advance
Ahmotorsport
Balance them first, worse comes to worst they could be buckled. If you can, jack each side up and spin the wheel and look at the inside of the rim (where and alloy would usually buckle) but look elsewhere too and look to see if spins straight. Thanks mate, they came off an escort van and the bloke who had them before said his steering wheel didnt vibrate or anything, he said they were as smooth as anything. So u recommend i balance them yes?? Thanks
SLEEMAN
balance them and also get the car tracking done. when you change anything with the wheels or suspension they are a must to do so everything is fine
