ball joint help

right guys just went and tried to replace my ball joints as i have polybushed arms,i grinded off both sides of nut/bolt and tried to hammer it out but it wouldnt move,anyone know why?

are you sure they are nuts and bolts normally rivits that you will have to drill out :thumb:

sorry yeah they are rivits,but ive grinded off both sides,would have thought they would just knock through?

 

did try my drill but it was shite to say the least lol

you will probably find if you drill enough out it may well tap out get a good quality drill bit like dormer and drill a bit slower to stop heat building up use a small bit first then get progressivly bigger dont try to drill a big hole in one go :thumb:
