For sale: '03 Focus ST170 Imperial Blue 68k

Hi all, for sale is my '03 Ford Focus ST170, done around 68k miles (goes up a little weekly), selling to avoid stacking up gross amounts of motorway miles up on a car that deserves better!

 

I've had the car for a little over a year and have really enjoyed it, the engine is not short of poke and is obviously devoid of the complications of the turbos found in class competitors- this being the obvious stuff, the thing that has really struck me with this car is how insanely well it handles. Grip round corners is excellent, steering is direct and confident and yet the ride isn't unforgiving and good over long distances. The car is completely unmodified (except for the calipers painted blue by the previous owner) and in excellent condition.

 

Highlights of the specification are as follows:-

 

- all round electric windows, no sunroof, ice cold air conditioning

- half leather seats, regularly cleaned and conditioned so there are bare minimum signs of wear

- front seats with height adjustment and lumbar support

- optional extra "comfort pack": xenon headlights, automatic air conditioning and heated front windshield

- 17" 15 spoke alloys- no curbing & no corrosion, as new. Come with new Falkens (7-8mm) on the front and Evergreens (5-6mm) on the back

- Front projector fog lights

 

Paintwork and body is excellent, no scratches or dinks, regularly loved with turtle wax. Has had two comprehensive services during my ownership by the regular Ford main dealer covering: oil, oil filter, air filter, pollen filter, brake fluid, coolant, offside rear wheel bearing, exhaust heat shield- receipts for this work and stamps in service guide, naturally.

 

Comes with a fair amount of service history, old MOTs, two remote control keys and original showroom brochure. To top it off- 12 months MOT (no advisories) and 5 months tax.

 

I'm asking £3500 for this, unfortunatly i'm not in a position to consider any swaps. This is a stunning car and brilliant in its own right, don't compare this with its "class competitors"- a heavy, underpowered Golf gti or a cheaply built Cliosport, Ford put a lot of effort into making this first sport version of their new marque a cracking car and it really shows.
