My 3 door Mexico

Hang on what? You left the car in first with the car running on tick over to create your own lathe?

Its the way Ive always done them. One wheel on the ground to make the free hub rotate when in gear..

Obviously you use the file so the wheel is pulling the file away from you so no risk involved.

Remember play safe now children lol :thumb:

Well after a dreadfull experience with the wrong rear springs being supplied making the suspension bottom out coilbound, Ive ordered a complete new lowering kit from someone else.

On a good note, Sunday I finished the 16 inch rim resto's .. Yes the rain did eventually stop

Anyway, what do you think...

refurb of the wheels is good mate  why arent you fitting the elecy sunroof you've got for sale to the scrote?! :)

Cheers for the thumbs up on the refurb. They seemed to worked out very well and now owe me just under £90 for all 5 including one tyre as new. I need to find some tyres with the protective rib on them. Any suggestions of ones that have the rib?

I might fit the lecky roof to the Scrote, but tbh im skint and need get something back from the 2 litre donor as im out of dosh atm

If I sell something else 1st then ill keep the lecky roof as they are good 8)

  • 3 weeks later...

Wheels now fitted. Got a new set of TOYO Proxies for £214 inc p&p from "Camskill" (they have the anti curbing rib on them 8) )

I slid them on on with my Tyre machine and had local Tyre co balance them for £16.60.... Bargain ;)

My suspension kit from Venom motorsport still hasn't arrived, I'm getting peed off asking where they are :nutter: Customer service "0"

Oh well the car to date now has honeycomb Grille and new rims

I'm looking for a 1.8 plastic inlet and intake pipework for a 2 litre conversion if anyone has one spare, let me know :thumb:

Usually i'd say paint the bumpers and bump strips but there's something about this with the alloys that makes it look really nice, keep up the good work! :)

you need to smoke the side repeaters though, match the bump strips.

I know, some reason im starting to like it this way too.. Maybe its cleaner/sharper?

As for the repeaters, im not sure smoked or clear to match the front indicators??

I like these lamps at ebay

I have some clear LED's that work orange when lit to fit them so im very tempted

wot ya think?

Car looks so clean mate in that pic couple above.

What Proxies did you get?

cheers mate, your car is very nice, but this is growing on me as its different. Im thinking of putting front fogs in it next but im not sure if it will kill the clean base looks of the Mex. Also the front bumper has honeycomb grille blanks in where the fogs go which isnt bad looking as a lower spec bumper goes :thumb:

Tyres are the tr1 Proxies mate.. I didnt think they would ship them at the price as it was mega cheap

I was hoping that you had a different spec proxie, I got TR1's dude, fitted and balanced for £190, 16"s.

Was shipping like £40?

Edit: hangon lol, that's for 4 isn't it? If so what a price!!

I wouldn't stress about foglights for the moment, maybe something towards the end of your plans.

195/45/16 four TR1's inc delivery £214. Cheapest by far for me as everyone else wanted over £300

try here next time if it helps Camskill site

What do you reckon on the side repeaters.. Clear or smoked?. I think clear as the smoked might take away the clean base look

Im open to persuasion lol

I'd say clear, smoked look nice on much darker colours, I know red is kinda dark but you know what I'm saying.

That for four tyres is an amazing price.
