escortedal
I had the garage do mine and they decided to drop the lower subframe to fit...ah cheers, was wondering as i could not get the bolt off the one in breakers today, got the brace and two bolts but top one was not moving past the rack.may be easier to release the rack bolts a bit to allow me to put a nut on top and put bolt up from below.cheers john. Danzetec
I use a shorter bolt with a shake-proof washer from beneath, this means you can just slide a nut in above with a thin spanner

Danzetec
Yes, M10 x 20mm bolt with a shake-proof washer iirc and a plain nut from above. I've got a double open end spanner which is thinner than usual and you can slide the nut in above. Bit of a faff but it means the rack doesn't need to come off so it's worth it

If so the car looked ultra clean!that was me, going to tesco with the wife, thanks for comment, just finished fitting the lower strut brace before then. Bit of a faff but it means the rack doesn't need to come off so it's worth it fitted a bolt down the way, removed one rack bolt from top(15mm head), drilled the bolt hole to a slight oval and fitted an m10x20mm bolt down the way, tightened it up, re-fitted rack bolt and job was done.cheers for help, will put pic's up when i take some.
