Whats needed to convert to single coil

Heard it being done a fair bit on them,

I need to try new coil packs any way as I got a sparking issue, and rather than buy 2 packs at something like 50 pound a go, I'd rather get the single zetec coil pack which is half the price and is mounted out side the spark plug cover rather than sat on the hot engine waiting for the same thing to happen

Right, so you're not talking about a single coil. You're talking about a single coil-pack (two coils). That's a completely different thing!

 

A single coil requires a distributor and points!

I know it's a completely different thing I just thought people would realise what I ment

 

You stated that coil packs weren't working for you and you wanted to convert to a single coil.

 

I don't think there was any grey area in your request!
