AntiDote
My car's front offside wheel is making a rubbing noise which increases with speed. It's similar to the 'thumping' noise a flat tyre would make. When I turn right, the noise is almost eliminated but turning left or driving straight makes it pretty noticeable. If at around 60mph I hit my brakes the car pulls to the right slightly then straightens back up. I recently replaced the brake pads and disks but this made no difference. Over the last few days it feels as if the steering is a little looser although I could just be imagining that. Anyone have any ideas what it could be? JC
Could be a CV joint, tracking rod end, or lower arm? when were they last replaced? Or a my money in on a buckled wheel - or unbalanced wheel I'd take it to a local garage unless you are mechanically minded
