had my car plugged into a code reader

have just plugged in fault code reader too my 97 escort si 1800 zetec and these are the codes im getting

552

558

564

519

 

any help would be appreciated

Has this had an transplant? A said it's mostly EGR related, so you get these codes if you've removed EGR from the engine or switched to an ECU that expects to see it. The only code not EGR related is 519 which is power steering pressure switch open. This would cause your engine to be on high idle all the time.

It has a 2l mondeo ecu in it mate? That why the egr valve code has been brought up? I know what the pressure switch is the wire has came off the plug!

Yes. The Mondeo ECU is expecting to see EGR hardware in the engine bay. Don't worry about it.
