Vitara's seem quite popular among the budget weekend mud pluggers too, there was a couple of them being used near as dammit standard on a off-road competition programme I saw a few monthes back, Vitaras, chopped down Landrovers and some Swedish thing (iirc, I don't recall its name though) seemed to be the three most popular choices.

 

Word of warning though, given their Rep for stability issues if a Italian cruise liner captain asks for a go tell him to do one.... it'll be rolling over quicker than your average bloke after sex with the missus.
