There should be a sticker on the front of the fuse-box indicating what spec it is (LOW/MID/HIGH), RsK's are obviously fitted with HIGH spec looms and FB's and given that you say the current loom is pretty well butchered Id not take the chance and simply source a full loom and box from a scrappy, iirc you should be able to find a similar spec with the same HIGH FB and interior cab loom as a RSK in a Ghia model

It will but you'll end up with a Fusebox thats came to a grunge mud pit party dressed in a tuxedo... if you get my meaning

sounds like the original owner had a heavily integrated alarm system he wanted to keep..... having fitted more than my fair share of fancy "all the bells and whistles" alarm systems I can confirm just how intrusive they can be when it comes to wiring them into an existing loom...... pulling them out afterwards can leave a factory loom looking like someone tried to perform brain surgery with a lump hammer and a brick chisel.

Hi there,

Sorry to drag up an old topic but search function has only got me this far.

I have a base model fuse box in my 75 van (typical van I am lead to believe) with hacked interior loom

I have a interior loom and fuse box from a mid spec TD (believe its mid spec anyway) however I am unsure if swapping interior loom and fuse box along with additional battery lives will work with the other base spec van wiring?

Could someone please help me out on this :)

Many thanks.

On closer investigation its a HIGH spec fusebox and interior loom.

Fitted it in the van minus airbag wiring (no idea if I need the earths on the offside a pillar for other things in the fusebox or if its just for the airbag? With airbag ecu unplugged in the old van it still works as it did so I assume I don't need them earths?)

Anyway, it doesent work, nothing works and the hazard lights turn the dash lights on and off.

Anyone able to help me out with what went wrong? Lol.
