one in a scrap yard ill be going to next week if you want me to see if hed sell it without the bumper

ul need a bit of luck as most of them are all one piece bumpers where the splitter is actually molded onto the rover bumper to make the mg one. i know a thing or two about rovers!

have fitted one to my rs2000 turbo track car, for anyone considering fitting one, don't buy a fiberglass copy as it will crack when bending, i got a genuine one for £40 off ebay. once fitted i think it looks good and a little different from the normal splitters, but will look much better when its sprayed white. got to make up some end bits as there to small and looks odd.

well had to find the centre of the splitter, i put a small screw in it then marked the centre of the bumper them screwed it on, then i bent it into shape going from the centre outwards and screwed it from behind to the bumper making sure the screws don't poke through the splitter, it felt very secure and no movement at all doing it that way, but since the pics were taken i have now put black screws on the splitter front side, looks better with my track car theme. hope this helps. sorry, hi-jacking the thread.

does anyone have a pic of the standard mk6 splitter / stone deflector. I saw one listed on the parts pages at the stealers as we where flicking through but never seen one in the flesh. wondered what they looked like and considering getting one.

Don't think it is a splitter as such, some escort bumpers have a small(about 5mm) lip at the bottom. the stone deflector might be the flat plastic section behind the bumperthat goes upto the wheel arches.

when I was looking I spotted a line drawing of what looked like a splitter that formed the same shape as the laguna one that follows the shape of the bottom of the front bumper, it may not be much. stone deflector is what the stealers call a splitter cos technically, the cossie full splitter is a splitter and applies downforce to the front of the vehicle, the laguna style thingy is technically a stone deflector.
