shawdreamer Posted July 31, 2013 Share Posted July 31, 2013 Will mk6 escort GTi side skirts fit a Mk5 escort cabriolet? the cabby has a much thicker sill so the skirts will physically bolt on but they will poke out at a near 90 degree angle, pm redmex he has a set of cabby rs accessory skirts in his garden, i dont think hes planning on using them iirc you can trim off the upper skirt lip (were you usually bolt through) and a few bits of fettling edges around the back and bottom edges and get the skirts to sit almost perfectly with the use of some epoxy bonding (or Tigerseal) without the need for fixings, helped my little brothers mate out yeeeeeeeeears ago doing similar but used a 2-pack epoxy bonding compound as tigerseal was either not about yet or not that well known. must say though, Gti's looked the dogs gonads on a cabbie, even better than the RS cab skirts imo.
