What style rear lights are these ?

A friend of mine has just found a set of these that have been sat in the garage for a long time what style are they & are they for a mk5 or 6?

There mk6 or mk5b max power did a Haynes manual on silver mk5b and used those lights

You can tell which lights they are by looking at where the light meets the tailgate the mk5 is slanted and the mk5b and mk6 is straight.

iirc, the ones with the perspex cover don't look so boggle-eyed and the actual perspex cover gives a more smoother body contoured look over the bare pod "afterburner" version which dont blend in with the rest of the cars lines atall imo

Black version of Lexus lights. The 1st incarnation and best of the escort Lexus style. The later ones had a light run halfway through another and looked really shite with too much chrome in them.

I've seen these on a few escorts they don't seem to come with tailgate lights so the wiring needs looking

At and the tailgate needs smoothing or the tailgate light covers need painting or it won't look write I have seen so good ones tho and some really bad there like Marmite.

i only knew of one place rudimods.com that did pee wee's rear lights as i was looking to get some a while back but unfortunately they don't sell them any more .
