Banno
Here is my 2000 Finesse.Needs work but will keep us dry and warm in the winter. Some rot around the rear arches and the front and rear bumpers are well knackered. http://i936.photobucket.com/albums/ad201/pwbannister/ESCORT/Photo0003_zps5ff6cecc.jpg http://i936.photobucket.com/albums/ad201/pwbannister/ESCORT/Photo0006_zpse4a7662e.jpg http://i936.photobucket.com/albums/ad201/pwbannister/ESCORT/Photo0005_zps13c4672a.jpg http://i936.photobucket.com/albums/ad201/pwbannister/ESCORT/Photo0004_zps30f42711.jpg Loving the site, good friendly people. scottybo
how badly damaged are the bumpers? could they not be repaired? otherwise the body work looks quite tidy any plans?
Banno
Unfortunately the rear bumper is cabbaged due to someone reversing into a post in the past. The front underneath the gaffer tape is cracked. Didn't know they could be repaired. As for plans,Would like it lowered about 25 - 30mm, Going to keep the alloys as I like them, may get an identical set and have them polished. Banno
Well that's the old girl back on the road with a full MOT and 6 months rent.Went to give it a engine service this morning drained oil fine but could not get the oil filter off, even broke my Facom Oil filter wrench! Changed the air filter and plugs. Just need to put it on the ramps to get the fuel filter changed. God only knows how I am going to get the oil filter off lol.Going to give her a good polish and take some more pics, that is if it ever stops raining. Banno
Thanks JC and Scottybo the car has been neglected and the filter has not been changed in years! The oil was like tar.I am going to have to put it on a ramp as I just cannot get enough purchase from the top on the oil filter.Put new oil in 5/30 fully synthetic and the engine is so quiet now compared to the rattle before. New Update Ok I have just given the alloys there first clean since ownership and OMG what a difference as you can see from the first pics.Had the car 3 weeks now but didn't want to clean until MOT'd and taxed. http://i936.photobucket.com/albums/ad201/pwbannister/20131020_1609021_zps00adffe2.jpg Thanks again everyone for your advise
