The Evo stand was huge, must of been between 20-30 cars on display, all individual. There was vampires cab, tez had his orange cossie rep, lazy arse pie had his white one (I think Ian even brought his red and blue escort!). That was back when people were enthusiastic about escorts...the last ones made were only 5 years old at the time and you could modify them. Stuff was cheap and readily available! Now aftermarket products for escorts is thinning . Anyway, I'm rambling...bank on topic, I think the peak for me was 07-08. Escorts now are few and far between to find a decent one, however show me a shiny rs2k or a gti and I'd bite your hand off for it. Shows with these guys were amazing, I remember making the almighty trip from scotland for ford fair. KNITERIDER Posted December 9, 2013 Share Posted December 9, 2013 I remember when I first joined and probably next year or two it was always busy on here day and night. went quiet then. like stupidly quiet. was always the same few at shows and meets. its a shame really but who wants an old escort as there first car nowadays because for most of us it was our first or second car.
