Looks mate. Rly dnt see many mk5s anymore! Easiest and cheapest engine change would be an 1800 zetec i wlda thouvht. But late escorts came with pretty much every engine ford made at the time so anything will fit nicely!

Nice and clean. You got any plans other than a possible engine change?

 

was hoping to keep it looking fairly standard, tidy up the bits that need it, could be tempted by a set of wheels, although the retro look of the plastic wheel trims appeals too!

would the 1800 zetec be efi? Are there any guides online showing how it would be done? I'm fairly good mechanically having worked on minis, built engines for them etc

That's what I was thinking too, they're 14's.

 

What would I need from an 1800 zetec escort, would it just be engine, ecu, sensors etc. Would I need the whole loom?

 

the whole lot basically, sounds l;ike a big list but its really not as much as you would think...or as hard as you would think to get the stuff
