Escort_Kid Posted February 2, 2014 Share Posted February 2, 2014 Hi guys, so really wanted to respray my whole car but think ill have to do it more slowly then that looking at a few other things ive got going on right now. So starting at the rear arches come the summer time I will be cutting out my rear arches and replacing them, and getting them basically up to being smooth, sanded and primered ready for final finishing and top/clear coat. So rear arches in this state what are the approximate costs in peoples experiences id expect to incur if I was to just take it to a bodyshop and get them to finish it off? SLEEMAN Posted February 2, 2014 Share Posted February 2, 2014 the thing with some bodyshops they will say oh we have to use our own products so it doesn't infect the paint etc so they will bump up the price! so be careful but if bodyshops do accept it then spray it they may say between £200 plus probably. you have to call them up and ask really to be honest! if you want a hand filling it and spraying some proper primer on let me know matey! Had a quote on Monday for rear arch, rear bumper, both rear 3/4s, front bumper, all plastic mouldings (bump strips, handles, mirrors etc... ) for £600-£700, which I think is pretty good. Just started his own business up, used to work for Renault Babers and D. Sims. He's behind the petrol garage in penygraig. Dont fancy using Guy do you? hench Posted February 18, 2014 Share Posted February 18, 2014 it all depends. im lucky i give my mechanic a lot of work and hes a good freind so looks after me my estate is going in for both arches to be replaced, rear wiper on the tailgate panel repair as its rotten, repair the rust patches on 3 of the doors , colour code my handles and door stripes and spray and fit my side skirts £500 all in Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
