Hi, just wondering if anyone could help. I'm trying to fit LED bulbs into my 1996 escort but apparently the LED's are polarised so the earth is On the side and the positive is the bit on the bottom. The problem is the escorts wiring harness and bulb holder and wiring have it so the earth is the bit on the bottom of the bulb and the positive is the bit on the side. Is there anyway I can get around this? Thanks in advance

If that is how you say it is then just cut the wires a few inches away from the plug and swap them over, use an inline splice to join them back.

Umm...as much as I hate to be a buzzkill but most incandescent (normal) bulbs have worked in the same method for at least 20-25 years if not more. The earth is at the outside of the bulb and the live goes through the centre. Escorts are no different. I've had led bulbs fitted to mine and worked perfectly with no modifications.
