scottybo
what the rough cost of a total car respray. my escort is really let down by its paint, otherwise the cars solid. i plan on refurbing the mondeo wheels soon so they look factory fresh and i really want it to look its best. being 14 years old now its covered in scratches and car park dings. and there are parts iv sprayed, to a decent standard but you know what i mean so im really considering a respray, just the outside as it will be the same colour, pepper red. just wondering what people have paid for this sort of stuff before? Mad Mexico
I had a quote for a blowover in radiant red for about £800 2pa. or £1200 ish for a decent finish, im guessing water based. hope that helps was a year or 2 ago though

Andyb0127
Pays to shop around as prices will vary. Another way to keep the cost down would be to do the prep work yourself and supply the paint. If you want any advice if you decide to do it yourself just ask as im a sprayer/panel beater by trade. Shame your not near essex id of helped you prep it then painted it for you. But to give you an idea we've just resprayed a focus st170 in imperial blue, only minor dents the cost for that was £2700 but most of that price was labour time removing bumpers, trims, wing mirrors etc.
scottybo
I think i was being naive lol i honestly thought i could get like an exterior spray only, for a few hundred quid. As i want nothin fancy. Just a rb down and a few coats on the outside
mikeypr1
I've been quoted £500 to spray my car the same colour it is.The key to getting the price down is to try and do as much prep as you can save on labour
Craig855S
Pay for a bloody good detail and maybe it will get it to look very good for much less money, ok some deep scratches and dents may remain but paintless dent repair could solve some of them
tomsy
At the end of the day you get what you pay for Scott,my respray was £900 it got rid of all the dinks and scratches but the finish wasn't as good as I was hoping. My advice would be what ever your going to spend have a really good look at their previous work.
