Genuine Ford Escort MK6 Parts & Numbers

Hi all. Just wanted to know if the Ford logo and/or part number is always stamped on the inside of body parts only I recently acquired a rear spoiler which I has told was purchased from a Ford dealer about 15 years ago but when I received it, there was nothing in printed. It came in a yellow colour which i was told was primer, unlike the standard grey colour you get on new bumpers, skirts etc and was only in a plastic bag with a printed label just stating Ford Escort Spoiler, not the usual you get on parts. It also had 2 pre-drilled holes on each of the three mounting areas but when came fitted as standard, were they screwed or were they bonded on with adhesive and seals to stop water getting underneath? As usual any help is much appreciated. Cheers again:-)

sounds to be most certainly a replica spoiler.

Mk6 spoilers are always secured with part mounted bolts which were generally set into the spoiler body during the abs plastic casting process (replica's are also nearly always fibreglass)

another good indicator is the yellow "primer" colour you mentioned which I suspect is likely the colour of gelcoat the maker used to finish the fibreglass part (Ive never understood why but generally replica's Ive came across for various body parts are nearly always finished in a yellow gelcoat...... maybe its the cheapest version  )
