I have a brand new escort mk6 shell that I am building up. I'm wanting to put the v6 out of an st24 mondeo but I'm unsure how doable this is. Has anyone done it before on here, if not are there any tips people can give me? Thank you
I seem to recall a cabby that had the v6 lump in it. I would imagine if would require a lot of fabrication work.....although it wld be bloody awesome!

There are infinite threads on this question but only a few conversions. My understanding is that it requires cutting to the slam panel and cross member.

 

The amount of work to power ratio compared to a Zetec, RS2k or RS turbo conversion normally makes people go one of those routes instead.

Is the rs turbo a straight fit then? I like the idea of the 2.5, not liking the sound of work to be done to fit it.

Give the forum a search. There's so much info about engine conversions it's unreal.

I've always liked the idea of this conversion. would make an awesome fwd dragster with a big shot of nitrous :roll:

Are there any pictures of the v6 in a scrote?

The v6 might sound good but power wise won't be half as much or half as cheap or easy as a good turbo engine wherever that is a 1.6 cvh or a 2.1 zetec!! What gearbox and mounting are you gonna fab for this v6? Then you've got your drive shafts etc to think about.

 

With the cvh or zetec which in NA format were standard in mk5/6 escorts you've only got the ECU to really worry about when going with booooooooost

 

 

disclaimer- I'm probably talking pish!! :D I fancy a mk1 FRS engine being slotted into my gti :O

Nothing fits directly !
