Fit a Zetec 2.0 BT on a Escort Mk6

Hi everybody,

I own an MK6 3dr SI that has a 1.8L ST (115cv) Zetec with an IB5 gearbox.

¿Can I fit a 2.0L BT Zetec from a Focus into my Escort?, I think it's possible, but maybe some modifications would be needed, and that is what I don't know.

Well I can confirm that yes its more difficult to fit a BT in an escort. But cant remember the main probs you'll have. Why not look for a 2.0 ST?

Where I live is almost impossible to find a 2.0L ST, because it was only available in the first Mondeos, wich were sold in a small quantity here.

Also is not an easy task change the engine, because in my country the VIN Nr and Engine Nr must appear in the ownership title/certificate. Obiously I can change the engine doing some paperwork.

So that is why I'm asnking for advise, because if it require many modifications I wont go on.
