I'm in the process of sourcing a track rod arm for my MK6 but have discovered there are two types of steering rack fitted to all power steering model Escorts and I need to know which rack my Escort has.

One rack is called WUELFRATH and the other is TRW.

 

Would the rack depend on the type of gearbox/subframe the car has?

 

My local Ford cannot confirm which rack is fitted.

Was the WUELFRATH fitted to cvh engine mk5's and TRW to zetec/I4 mk5/6

Cheers for the reply, Im going to get under the car and see if I can find a part number on the rack and see if I can get it identified at Ford.

Would have thought a few members on here would have replaced their track rod arms and would have known what was needed!
