SLEEMAN
if the clutch needs replacing now then replace it for a decent standard one. then when you go to uprate the internals, you might as well upgrade it then
Mex
I'd certainly agree with the people suggesting to stick with the standard clutch for now. My Escort has more power than an RS2k and I have an iB5 box with a standard clutch, which is smaller than the MTX75 clutch, and it's managing fine. I'd only consider something stronger if it becomes a problem once you've upped the power.
bongo
standard clutch is fine,i know people running between 170 -190 bhp on the standard clutch including me.as far as lowering springs go there's very little about, coilovers are not nice for a road car, loads of people have fitted them and hated them due to the harsh ride. escort4x4
I had a 4x4 with coil overs. I'd advise against it. Rough ride although handled like on rails. If your 4x4 feels funny then re-new the shocks and wishbones and get 4wheel alignment. Standard suspension alone is very gd for what it is.
