Scott M
Hi All - I wonder if anyone can help me. I have just bought a MK1 Escort that's an RS Replica. What is the best way to go about getting an insurance policy that is going to give the right cover ? Most insurance companies only give you book price on the car but if you have just paid 8-10k for a car it's no good if they only give you 300 if it gets pinched. Has anyone got any advice for me ? Thank you
DAN@ADRIAN FLUX
Hi,Please feel free to give us a try for insurance if you like. We have a range of policies that can offer the option of a fixed agreed value. If you wanted to PM me some contact details I'd be happy to arrange for one of my quotes team to give you a call back.Regards,Dan.

Scott M
There must be loads of people who have done what I am hoping to do - get an insurance quote on a car that is non-standard. The car is an RS2000 replica - so therefore needs a quote to show it has non-standard engine, wheels & colours - it can't be THAT hard is it ? Paddy gti
one piece of advice i can give you .. avoid adrian flux like the plague once got a quote from them for a mk6 rs2000 2wd completly standard and limited to 3000 miles a year they wanted in excess of £3000 .. over £1 a mile just to insure one never had a cheap quote for anything from them always been one of the most expensive quotes
Mex
£3000 excess surely than is an error. Can't remember what my excess was when I was with them but sure it was only a few hundred quid on a heavily modded Escort GTI with an agreed value of about £6000. I currently use Need2Insure and they lowered my premium on renewal rather than raise it like a lot of companies out there. Also note that we are a modified car specialist so we do have more markets on modified cars, so your being completely standard could mean we struggled to find an insurer that could cover it. Paddy gti
I didn't buy the car in the end because of that quote for a car I was planning to only take to shows and maybe a trip to the coast every now and again 3000 miles a year only don't have any of the details of the quote remaining Edited January 28, 2015 by Paddy gti

supersport
wouldn't cover my mk5 with the engine swap, even though it was all ford parts.
lee grout
Ive been with Flux before and was a decent quote on modified escort. Strange how some prices really vary!
