Menter
it is possible, i think about £150ish not to sure on the power gain though! simonh1 has just had his done you could ask him!
simonh1
Yeah, had mine done, proper Superchip, got 10% on the power and bout 15% on the torque which makes all the difference in drivability........

theMKVr
generally speaking on a naturally aspirated car your not looking at great bhp improvements, but you will get a lot more driveability out of the car and better fuel economy as well. I would say its important to get the car rolling road tuned at the same time and if you can afford it get a filter and performance exhaust as well as this will help it all along nicely seehttp://www.ford-escortmkv.co.uk/ecu.htm
Troy Revill
I don´t think I could have one on mine and if I did it wouldn´t make no diffrence its only a 1.3 not even an injectsion I need power!
furry
had mine done and it´s improved the car no end. it´s more responsive and it pulls harder through the rev range. 10% is the average increase some times its more some times it´s less depends really on how yr engine takes to it. i had my nova gte( ) chipped years ago and it flew, used to keep up with 16v´s and even a turbo nova!! aswell as stanard rst´s. worth doing. Wez
Where does unichips? is there a big difference in price between that and the superchip? How are they reprogrammabe, by a garage??
jp
i have a boost valve and it gave me a little better throttle response, the k&n gave a nice sound but the superchip made the most difference improved acceleration, top speed and the best thing is it puts the rev limiter up to just under 7,000 so when your racing you get one over fellow companions as they are changing gear when your still accelerating and thus carry more speed through to the next gear when you change. also i lost some economy when i fitted the boost valve but it stayed the same with the chip
