Superchipping Escorts??

i have a boost valve and it gave me a little better throttle response, the k&n gave a nice sound but the superchip made the most difference improved acceleration, top speed and the best thing is it puts the rev limiter up to just under 7,000 so when your racing you get one over fellow companions as they are changing gear when your still accelerating and thus carry more speed through to the next gear when you change.

 

also i lost some economy when i fitted the boost valve but it stayed the same with the chip

 

and my chip cost me £225 fitted from prima racing in notts

Hi lads i have just put a Kn 57i kit on my Escort Gti and a magnex cat back system,and i have just had fitted a powerchip from Collins performance in Congleton it has cost me £175 fitted.

The guy at the garage said to me you get 10 bhp,10% better fuel econamy,and 15% more torque,with the cone filter on aswell you get 8 bhp from that and about 10bhp from the exhaust.It all comes in good use on those country roads you know what i mean lads..

 

my car now hits the rev limiter in 5th gear well past the clock oh yes ..

Pricey, from what that bloke has said to you, you should be putting out around 144bhp......................I doubt it very much mate, he´s talking balls imo

 

It´s ok saying filter gives 8bhp, Exhaust gives 10bhp etc tc, but those figures are the MAX they would give on a standard engine. It´s get´s harder getting power the more you mod an engine.

and it isnt always at the same revs so you cant just add them if you get what i mean

I think a superchip will be my next mod after seeing jp´s escort flying around notts, a unichip is the best idea but who wants to pay £400 for one.
