you'll never get it quicker than those mate

my solution....get petrol engine :P

diesel's will always be slower than their petrol counterparts of the same CC or even less :(

get a bleed valve, exhaust, filter, part from that you then need to start spending decent money

right...damn...oh well at least my car sounds cool now (got an induction kit although needs a lot more cold air X( ), what's a bleed valve?

Our PHASE ONE optimised performance uprating conversion can give up to 20% more power and torque with significantly more acceleration and pulling power from low speeds. The fuelling is optimised, so that there is only a small penalty in increased fuel consumption if the full performance gain is exploited. However, our fuelling control allows the options of running in ‘economy’mode when full performance is not required. This is controlled by a dash mounted switch. When in economy mode there can be a fuel saving of upto 15%.

The PHASE ONE performance optimisation may also include a flow control valve to vary boost pressure to match the performance required.

Normally we need your vehicle for 4-5 hours to install and setup the system.

PHASE ONE performance optimisation fitted, tuned and tested (from) £100.00.

Phase 1 Conversion - can produce up to 20% more power and torque

riiiiiiiiiight..... you do know i'm meant to be going to uni in about 3 months? obviously you don't.... ah well

might just stick with it and the in a few years time buy myself a 1.8 zetec engine to stick in it :)

a bleed valve makes the car think the turbo isnt building up enough pressure and makes it produce more, you dont want it producing too much tho as it may go bang

righty ho, where do i get one of them and how much are they?

right, i've just had a look on ebay... where exactly would it go?
its a simple 10 min job. it goes on one of the pipes by the turbo, it would be worth getting a boost guage at the same time to keep a eye on the pressure. i might have one im selling.

ok cheers, how much is that then, there's a few valves on ebay for £none

obviously i'm not gonna tell the insurance... is it noticeable change in power then?

it is fairly noticeable, i would only have the guage for sale not the valve
