As some of you may or may not know, i have a P plate mk6 1.4 Escort, and basically, soon im gonna get hold of a bit of money, not enough to finance a new car, so im gonna pop a few bits onto the scort, just need to know whether i should whack an induction kit or just an air filter on the car, and whether K&N is a safe enough bet on a budget over Pipercross and the like.

 

Not only that, but i want one of the Rage backboxes too, is there actually one specifically for the 1.4, or will i need the universal one ?

 

Any help would be appreciated, as my Escort been quite neglected over the last month

Dont expect power from any filter. Rages are universal for your car and have to be piped up by a garge that can do that kind of work like powerflow.

Also rage backboxs are loud anyway so if ur short on budget just get the backbox as it will provide plently of sound anyway.

Ive just toke my viper off mine and put me standard air box back on today and put a rage back box at the same time. And it sounds better and goes as Good as it ever did.
