Posted June 9, 200420 yr It might sound dense, but what exactly is the difference between normal bucket seats and side-mounted ones?
June 9, 200420 yr Author Side mounted?? yep, like Cobra Imola's are side-mounted and I also know that Clarky PJ's seats are side-mounted in his RS2K from reading his feature in PF
June 9, 200420 yr Author looking at the Imolas, i can see what i spose must be the mounting points, but dunno exactly how you'd mount em or how they'd fit etc
June 9, 200420 yr these are the parts for sidemount chairs they bolt directly to the chair and to the floor. If you look carefully at the sidemount chairs they have two bolts either side of the chair instead of underneath. It is possible to make sidemount chairs into sliding chairs but i aint got a clue
June 9, 200420 yr Author cheers, i was guessing it was summat more direct as opposed to frames, will look into it more Edited June 9, 200420 yr by Mike C
June 9, 200420 yr Side mount are a pig to fit ,as there is alot of modding to be done to make them fit the flor pan, for race cars really, very little adjustment and you sit low .
