Posted June 11, 200420 yr After only owning my Subaru Impreza P1 for three weeks the engine decided to give up.. It sounds like the big end bearings have gone, due to oil being stuck at the back of the engine, which as i have found out recently is a very common problem on P1's. It's been reported on the P1 owners club that 7 have blown up within the last month all resulting in a engine rebuild costing about £3000-£4000 I always thought it was going to be expensive owning a high performance car.. June 11, 200420 yr Author I did with the RAC but it does cover Subaru Prices, So i'll have to pay the rest of the bill.I know its going to cost £400 - £500 just for them to listen to the problem. So I don't want to know how much it will all cost ??

June 11, 200420 yr i had my car 3 weeks and the exhurst snapped in half, when i took it back they replaced the whole system, when i asked how come, they said the car must be fit for the purpose it was sold for ie; driving!! obvisously it wasn't with a fcuked up exhurst!! this stands for anything bought i have since found out, you have 28 days, if it goes wrong after 28 days then it's your problem!! ask them you have nothing to lose!!
