Posted June 17, 200420 yr I added a Seat Ibiza front splitter, i've added them to various cars i've owned over the years, and I know a few peeps on here have done the same to their Escorts, but thought i'd post the pic anyhow....
June 17, 200420 yr Author Cheers fella, it needs a little fettling to get it dead str8, and then some black silicone to seal the bit of a gap, i was considering blending it in, and painting it to match the car to...then i'm going to attack the rear, smoothing the badge out and bootlid horrid black plastic `handle`....lol
June 17, 200420 yr yea i know wat u mean bout the back, i need to sort mine out, just dunno wat to do wit it, want it to look a lil diff, but just dunno how!
June 17, 200420 yr then i'm going to attack the rear, smoothing the badge out and bootlid horrid black plastic `handle`....lol Hey mate! I do these totally smooth for £22 all painted inc. postage, or £20 if you send me the old one! I got one in the garage now totally smooth, just gotta primer and paint..... let us know mate I had an idea of `bad boying` the boot over the rear lights...hmmmm In all honesty, I don't think it would work because the escort lights stick out so far, unlike a corsa / saxo.... which is why this mod has been done to them
June 18, 200420 yr im going to sound stupid but how do you smooth it out? If you're talking about the splitter, I'd put a bead of sealer along the edge and then (with rubber glove) run along it with my finger to get a nice neat finish. Excess will come off with cloth. I think filler on top would crack and take ages to sand down to a smooth finish.
June 18, 200420 yr Hope you know the bloke/girl with the Golf, they seem to have boxed you in!!!! nice motor btw
June 22, 200420 yr Author Looks good mate. How good is the fitment? ahh, needs a little bit of fettling to get it looking dead str8, but for £19.57 u can't go wrong me thinks... As for Badboying the rear, ur right, lights stick out too far... that's unless I customise them to, which will happen!!! LED rear end
