Im doing mine at the end of the week hopefully. This is what you should need to do. Use a medium/fine sand paper and sand it down to remove the roughness of it. Then use a fine/very fine paper and do the same and it should be smooth as a babys bum. Then give it a light coat of primer and allow to dry. Once dry, give it another. then flat it back with a a very fine paper and give it another coat with primer. then 2 coats of paint, flat back again, then a third coat of paint. Then 2 - 3 coats of laquer.
