Mike C
very smart, but wouldn't bother unless it was a 2.0 imo

Mike C
you dont look at it and think sales rep no not really lol. slap some 17" Softspoke RS7s on there and no1 will lol tis very nice looking with those rims, grille and that colour, but personally I don't think i'd go for a car that size with an engine under 2.

Mk6 Si Ross
looks lovely and in Amparo too i had a Mk1 2.0 and that was a cool car, nobody thought it was mine which was funny!!!!!! the Mk2 looks a better more rounded shape Only thing is that 1.8, probably be slower than ur current Escort cos of the weight difference. POWERSCORT
i think its 113 or 115 bhp and mines only 105 bhp
Mk6 Si Ross
i think its 113 or 115 bhp and mines only 105 bhp but its a much heavier car
Mike C
i think its 113 or 115 bhp and mines only 105 bhp yours will still be quicker by a fair bit tho. yours will do 60 one tenth quicker than a 2.0 Mondeo (going by stats), so it's gonna be a bit of a difference. The BHP per tonne difference is more than you'd expect. A 115 version Escort will comfortably thrash a 2.0 Mondeo to 60, though obviously the extra power will show thru towards the top end. Hence a 2.0 lump in an Escort is easily the best situation all round!

All depends what you want it for!!!
Mike C
yeah, weight makes a lot of difference in this instance. Like 1.8 Escort (115) 0-60- 9.2 Secondsand 2.0 Mondeo (136ps) in 9.8 whereas that same engine in an Escort should do it in around the 8 mark
