Mell30uk
Afew times now, when i have been on idle my Accelerator will stick on 1.500 and sometimes 2000 revs and then after a few mins just drop down again to 1000 and be fine for a week or so.. but this morning on the way to work after each gear change it was sticking ! so it would be at 3000 then 4000 revs and wouldnt drop down after each change ! so after about 10mins of this i pulled over and just sat there in Neutral and it was stuck on 4000 revs screamming at me ! then after about 4 or so mins it just droped back down...so i carried on to work and it was fine any ideas guys & girls ? JonC
could be a clutch problem of some sort, or the throttle cable in the engine bay has been fouled by something and is catching and holding try lifting the bonnet and spraying a load of wd40 on the throttle lever on the inlet manifold its the bit that the black cable is attached to which sits on the top of your engine i could show a pic if i had an engine bay pic on muh pcwhat lump BTW? Ex-Finesse
Hope it's sorted My actual pedal has a habit of sticking to the bottom when its held there for over 20 seconds or so..... so in 5th the second or so it holds itself there feels like eternity when you're doing 120+
