Yea, been creaming over this for nearly two years.

 

Best part is that they have commissioned Aliens - Earth Hive now!!! With mr James Camron apparently heading up as director!!!

 

 

Throws the whole Alien 3 and Alien Reserection story's outta the window, and starts about 10 years after Aliens, and would include everyone from Aliens that survived!!!!

 

Basicially go out and buy the book and have a read, and you will be entertained hugely, it cannot fail to be a kick ass movie, and this should suffice as a nice warm up until the 2007 release!!

 

yeah AvP looks awesome, i watched a documentry on it thats located on quicktime.com well worth a watch if ur interested, bowt time they had another predator film

 

as for the next alien film, i was reading that it was meant to be set after resurrection and ripley goes on a hunt for the alien homeworld to finish them off once and for all, ridley scott AND james cameron were meant to be involved. they wudnt be able to have the original ppl in it from aliens, sigourney weaver wudnt be able to star in it due to her age if that was the case 2 and considering the whole Alien franchise is built around her wud be hard to see it happening without her.

 

i guess we will see

Right, seriously, stop whatever the hell you are doing now and get your white boy ass onto play.com and order the quadriligy.

 

Alien - Definatly the most scary of the lot, and can still make your skin crawl, just wish they had of expanded the history of it a bit more, especially stuff like the Wrathbone etc and the larger alien, thankfully the books did loads for that later.

 

Aliens - The DEFINITIVE Alien film, ever, none of this CGI crap, all animatronics and by christ, the most amazing looking Queen at the end, ever!! Massive!!!

 

Alien 3 - Good film, and a unique twist in the Alien story, but didn't follow anything to do with the books and offened many fans however fantastic direction.

 

Alien - Reserection - Blaitent spinoff and prehaps the most shocking of the films (from a thelogical point of view, eg cloning etc), simply to show how far a movie company can take a lisence in an effert to make some money, with a Pee poor ending, a Pee poor looking alien at the end, cgi aliens that look shite, and a story that is so loose, you could fit a small planet in the gaps.

 

Just my opinion of course.

problem with 3 is the theatrical version is crap compared to the directors original edit, which is so much better and explains a lot more if u never seen alien 3 then i def recommend the directors version

One of the Predators is a 7' odd british basketball player... my mate was tellin me its a guy that he used to train with - makes sense actually, that an athlete would be able to manouvre better than an actor... not many 7' actors either, lol.

i been waiting for this for years after hearing rumours of it being created, now they this got comfirmed early last year, and now im eagerly waiting, im even thinking about going to the states just to watch it early (13/08/04) (and do a lil bit of shopping).

 

But story so far (TBC) is. Its set in the present. Weyland corporation (the corporates from the earlier films - ripley's company) find and abandoned preditor station under the ice in the antartic. the send a elite team in comprised of soliders and scientists. They start snooping around and find out it actually a trap all along, the preditors were just waiting for humans to come so they can use the as host to create big aliens so the the preditors have got some sport. just as they relise this, all hell breaks lose and place entraps them inside. Now the battle is on between the preditors and the Aliens, with the human team just trying to escape/survive. not sure how it ends (thank god). But hopefully they having played down the ability of the aliens because that pees me off everyone thinking the preditors are the DON.

 

Also, write from the very first preditor 2 (1990) you know that there was going to be a some sort of thing between the two films becuase the the preditors trophy room had an alien skull in it. Also there was other hints toos, like in the first preditor they said something alone the lines of the goverment finding them before etc etc

 

All good stuff, either way i cant wait....

 

oh, and Where The Fcuk is star wars 3?

only thing im worried about with AvP is the fact it might have an american pg-13 rating....if this is so then i am gonna be sadly disappointed as this means its gonna be too toned down. all the alien and predator films had an R rating.....so u wud expect this to......im hoping anyway

ooo forgot to add....Star Wars Episode 3: Revenge of the Sith is due out in summer 2005 and from wot ive read its gonna be a daddeh of the film

 

also fox...the predator is the don (predator pistol any1? )

im hoping for at least an 18 cert. But hardly any films these days get that. Im guessing a 15, hopefully they haven't toned it down for a new 12g cert, so they get more ticket sales. But gore is a must for a aliens movie!

 

EDIT: Dont get me wrong, preditor is a good hunter, but an alien is the ultimate hunter im afraid.

 

Oh, and dissapointed so far with the new star wars films, hopefully theycan pull a a decent one outta the bag to ressurect its dying fans!

aye 3rd film is meant to be really good, we see vadar in the last 5-10minutes of the film....which shud kick ass

 

as for avp....alien is sneaky but weak, plus it has to be close to kill, put 1 agenst a predator and it stands no chance, in a group they wud probably win...but 1v1 no chance

1 vs 1, Preditor would have no chance. Preditor wouldn't be able to see it, its faster, stealther and stronger and doens't rely on pussy long range weopons like the shoulder cannon and disc. 1 vs 1 would deffo be in the aliens favor! Yeah, predior got the camo (ideal if you wanna hide), But alien got the fact it can jump further, go the reaction and the fact it can climb up walls and inverted as fast as it can on the ground, it can also take more damage, lose a limb and its still a worthy adversary (dont even get me started with its acid blood!). Probably alot smarter too, with a stronger killer instinct, no mercy with this bitch! Look in the previous films, preditor also gets canned like a stoopid muppet everytime, alien takes proper out smarting! No competition IMO.
